CCG240 - Love - for ColorCombos Galore challenge over at http://colorcombosgalore.ning.com/forum/topics/color-combo-challenge-240

Here is my layout - my friend Cathy and her hubby Rick at their son's wedding

I took my inspiration from photo 1 with the resin photo corner. Photo 2 inspired the rubbed metal clock face antiqued with steel blue, the grunge painted flourish , the die cut photo frame and the handmade hydrangea flowers that resemble the lilacs.  From photo 3 I used the musical aspect in canvas ribbon and from photo 4 the metal clock and metal charm painted in the steel blue.

Hope everyone has a great day!

For this layout I used Mark's Pussy Willow stamp set.  I used Webster's Rainbow paper and placed the picture under the rainbow with a Martha Stewart around the page border punch and stamped the chickadee and pussy willows for my spring flowers.

Why don't you head on over to Mark's Finest Papers and see what the rest of the design team have created and submit a layout - it just may be your lucky week.

Self Serve - Here is another layout for CCG 241 ColorCombos challenge

CCG241 - Yellow Bellied Sap Sucker

another layout for this challenge at ColorCombos Galore - challenge details in the posts below

It took me 6 years to get this photo of the woodpecker and on opening day last year at the trailer he was in the tree right in front of me so I quickly grabbed my camera.
For inspiration I used photo 2 - Repetition and Sequence with the wood bark looking strips of cardstock that started out as cream colored. I layered many layers of paper behind my photo and distressed the photo mat. I used many different inks, including moss green which doesn't show much in the photo.
I also used inspiration from photo 1 with the word labels for my journalling.
I used stamps to distress my background with cream ink with wood grain stamps.  I also managed to score a blurred background - quite by accident.

CCG241 - Coke - It's The REAL Thing

I just finished another layout for ColorCombos Galore-see the challenge in the previous post.

A Bag of Sheep's Wool

This is another layout for the farm scrapbooking I'm working on and another page in the ColorCombos Galore Color Challenge 238.

The kitten is laying in the bag of wool that had just been shorn from the sheep.  The little tufts on the orange scalloped circles are some of the real wool after it had been washed.

Emma - CCG239 Color Challenge at ColorCombos Galore
http://colorcombosgalore.ning.com/forum/topics/color-combo-challenge-239
I did another layout for this challenge as I couldn't get the image of the cake out of my mind.

For inspiration I used photo 1- I took out a piece of white cardstock that had a diagonal embossed pattern on it, started with yellow distress ink around the centre section of the page, then went on to tattered rose and started blending the colours upward from the bottom of the page, then blended in worn lipstick upward and finished up with festive berries for the dark raspberry colour that is in the bottom of the 3rd layer of the cake.
Then I focused on the icing dripping down from the top 2 layers of the cake and embossed with a light pink sparkle powder to keep it soft and embossed from the bottom up with a dark raspberry embossing powder.  Then I embossed some flourishes with yellow embossing powder as a base for my flowers.
I used more inspiration from the flowers cascading down the cake and made some embossed flowers and leaf die cuts in 2 shades of pink and raspberry and added some pearls.
From photo 2 I used an ornate frame behind my photo.

here again is the inspiration board we were given

and here is my take on it

Wonderful Willow - ColorCombos Challenge CCG239

here is another page of Willow that I did for the challenge over at http://colorcombosgalore.ning.com/forum/topics/color-combo-challenge-239

for this layout I used inspiration from photo 1 and color washing using distress inks and mists to color this white page of cardstock and then some watered down acrylic paints as well. I also used gems and other bling for my page. From photo 3 I took the look of layered flowers clustered around the page. From photo 4 I took the geometric pattern at the top from a border I misted over the yellow distressed areas, a lacy border in the raspberry and some crocheted flowers and from photo 1 I used an overlay for the word Wonderful in my title. Finally from photo 2 I took the look of an ornate frame with the word Beauty.

thanks for looking.
ColorCombos Galore challenge CCG230 - Fairy Tales in Pink

Time for another challenge over at
http://colorcombosgalore.ning.com/forum/topics/color-combo-challenge-239This week's challenge is these colors:

Here are 3 pages I did last night with these yummy colors.

Abbey and Willow were on an escape route from their pen and Aunt Tessa was trying to keep them in.
Inspiration from Photo 1 - Color Washing - used distress inks to add yellow thru to a deeper pink on the edges and in the scalloped centre. And the addition of pink and white pearls.
Also took inspiration from photo 2 - Overlays - in the polka dot frame and the hearts. From photo 3 - layered the canvas hearts and from photo 4 the geometric pattern with some stitchery and a canvas border and canvas hearts.

 Abbey and Pudge

This photo shows Aunt Tessa checking in on Savannah and the pups - making sure they are all okay.

I took inspiration from photo 3 with the layered flowers in clusters, photo 4 - the chevron pattern and floral flourished and from photo 1 with the bling perals

Happiness
I took inspiration from photo 1 - washed pink distress ink from the edges inward over the yellow and from photo 3 - for the box pleated fabric border.

Hope you get a chance to go on over and participate in the challenge.
