I know I've been a terrible blogger and it's been 3 1/2 months since I've posted. That's about how long it's been since I did a layout and I really missed it. But had to get ready for the Christmas Craft Shows and wasn't feeling the best. But sat down the last few days and worked up some layouts for my Christmas gifts. Here is the result.

CCG234 - Flashback - Mom's Wedding Dress - Samantha
I've just spent the afternoon doing another Flashback Challenge for ColorCombos Galore. This time I chose CCG234 for my photo.

here is the color chart and the inspiration board
Inspiration Photo 2 - Focus on Product: framed photo with pearls and scattered dark brown pearls throught page.
in the photo there is what looks like a smudge mark to the left of the photo but it must be some of the blue grey mist I used from the top right corner downward. It really isn't noticeable in person.
paper is Theresa Collins Timeless, Webster's laces. Also used the main color of the photo to pick up the blue grey in the sky.
Inspiration Photo 3 - Focus on Patterns: used with netting misted with blue gray - idea: nautical fish netting and circle embellishment - idea: compass.
Inspiration Photo 1 - Focus on Medium - used circle embellishment and two half circle doilies with rhinestones.
thanks for looking. Will be doing another layout similar to this one of her sister in the same dress.

ColorCombos Galore Revisiting CCG230 - Aly's Happy Life
This week over at Color Combos Galore Janet has decided to revisit any challenge from 2013. Interesting to go back to one of your favourites and have another go at it. http://colorcombosgalore.ning.com/
and here is my new take on the colours
thanks for looking and have a great week!
I decided to revisit CCG230 – which is the first challenge I
ever did at Color Combos Galore. I’d
been lurking for almost 3 years and then took the plunge. Looking back seems a bit comical that the
photo is of the same little girl, my friend’s granddaughter Aly.
here are the challenge colours - the challenge is called 50 Shades of Grey
and here is my new take on the colours
Inspiration photo 4 - Focus
on Technique – used a doily theme with white doilies and circular ones. I took inspiration from the circular part of
the photo and the starburst reminded me of some starbust gems I had in my stash.
Inspiration photo 3 - Focus on Texture – used hearts and capital
letters for part of my title.
Inspiration photo 2 - Focus
on Product - used pennants and pearls
Inspiration photo 1 -
Focus on Word – used the word love in
pearls. Also used the idea of the groves
in the wood behind the word LOVE reflected in the lines on my rulers.
head on over to Color Combos and see which challenge everyone else has decided to re-visit. Should be very interesting to see what everyone comes up with.thanks for looking and have a great week!

CCG249 - Good Day Sunshine - MIA
It's a brand new color and inspiration challenge over at Color Combos Galore called Good Day Sunshine with lovely yellows and greys and taupes. A bit out of my comfort zone but I had the right pictures to use and the papers handy so I managed to do two layouts for it.

so I invite you to visit Color Combos Galore and see what the other members of the design team and July featured members have created and try a card, tag or layout for yourself.

CCG248 - Sweet Serenity – Bright Eyed Babe
A new challenge over at Color Combos Galore this week and it's called Sweet Serenity.
Inspiration Photo #1/Focus On Product: Twine
(used twine to wrap butterfly center)
Inspiration Photo 2 – Focus on Style – Romantic/Shabby Chic - I used lace borders to reflect the lace eyelet dress on Emma, romantic flowers and some shabby handmade taupe striped flowers and a blue and peach petal flower and wood leaves along with the pearl and gem flourishes. Used lots of pearls around the page as well.
Inspiration Photo 3 – Focus on Journaling – About a specific date – I took inspiration from the mirrored tray and used a mirror butterfly, and for the clock theme I used 2 clocks and took the idea of the scroll gold frame of the mirror and used some dark metal embellies that mirrored the colors in the photo. Alsp ised a round glass ball as the centre of one of the flowers
Inspiration Photo 4 – Focus on Trend – Speech Bubbles - used some small stickers on my speech bubble.
This is the second layout using the same photo. I gave the first one to Emma's granny and they wanted to frame it so I made another layout for her scrapbook so thought I'd post both.
